Dedication Ceremony & Ribbon Cutting

The City of Newberry and the Newberry Veterans Memorial Committee invites you to join us for the Dedication Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting of the Newberry Veterans Memorial on Memorial Day, 05.26.2025 at 9:30AM.

We have a wonderful program planned including the presentation of colors, musical performances by the Oak View Middle School & Newberry High School Bands and Josh Taylor, a Rolling Thunder drive-by to recognize our POW-MIA soldiers, and brief comments.

We hope that you will plan to join us for this momentous occasion!

RSVP is not required, but the courtesy of an RSVP will help us plan and would be greatly appreciated.

Pertinent Information:

• The ceremony will be under the trees at Lois Forte Park. 

• The high for the day is projected to be 91°F, so please dress comfortably. 

• Afterwards, we'll walk a very short distance (approx 50 yards) to the entrance of the park for the ribbon cutting.

• We will have chairs, but this may not be enough for everyone in attendance. Please feel free to bring chairs, if you'd like. We want everyone to be comfortable.
